Band of Brothers
Band of Brothers is a 2001 10 part miniseries that was produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. The movie follows Easy Company through several battles during World War II.
Before each series starts they begin with the real men of Easy talking about their experience. They spoke of what it was like to serve alongside these men that they called brothers.
Why did they call them brothers? Because they trained together, jumped out of a plane while being shot at together, they spent the night in the same freezing fox hole together… they bled together.
If history books bore you then I suggest renting or purchasing Band of Brothers (Series Not Rated – Trailer is Rated).
We Are A Band of Brothers
I do not want to in any way suggest that we have been through together what the men of Easy Company went through. I don’t know all of your story.
We follow each other on Twitter and read each others blogs. We allow other people to see only so much of us.
BUT
Hopefully we have other men in our life that we are serving alongside with. Some may be our mentors, others may be those we have prayed with after they lost their wife to cancer. The bond is stronger when personally shared together.
We can’t possibly all know each other personally but we do live in a unique time. 15 years ago we were limited in knowing who our other brothers in Christ were. But because of the internet this has all changed. Here is my list of Twitter Band of Brothers:

I"m blown away. And yes…we are in a band…even if you don't have to use a hair brush.
