There is only one thing that keeps you from getting into heaven, that's lack of faith in Jesus Christ who is Lord, Son of God and God in the Flesh who came and lived a perfect life and died on the cross for us, as that spotless Lamb of God in our place because we deserve death for our sins against a PERFECT GOD. Believe this and thou art saved.

Mine is a question on sexual committed sin.you mentioned earlier that when you have sex(this is outside marriage) you sin against your body right. But my question is that to whom should you ask for forgiveness? is it from God or it will just be self declaration that you are forgiven minus involving God.

Thank in advance.

Our God is an awesome God. He is holy, pure, and righteous! I have not struggled with these things as since I have been saved, but I am a minister, and therefore I am in constant search of where God would have all of us be... Spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally. I can't help but think of the scriptures that tell us to set our minds on things above, not on things on earth. And how the word says it's the little foxes that spoil the vine. I have had my convictions about how the enemy seeks to make us more like the world... When all the when all the while the Lord almighty desires to separate us. For me it comes down to this.......

If I seek to please the Lord, then I must feed my spirit.... Not my flesh....
The enemy is so good at causing distractions.... Which take our focus off of what we truly matters.
I can spend all day justifying a glass of wine, a smoke, or junk food... But at the end of that day I have focused on things of this world... I am to be separated, transformed,.... If there seems to be a grey area that I am trying desperately to clear up... I ask God to make it clear as what I am to do, and then move on. If I seek first the Kingdom of heaven all else will fall in it's place. Staying close to the Father (in meditation, prayer and The word) feeds my spirit, which in turn keeps my fleshly desires in check.

Blessings to all...

When I was in college I went through a couple years of depression and anxiety! It was terrible! Finally my mom gave me some tough love and told me to go serve other people. Spiritually speaking this is what we are called to do. Mentally speaking it gets our mind off our trials. Emotionally speaking we feel better when we help others. Serving others was huge to me! Check out Eph. 5:1. It changed my life. I still struggle sometimes but it is a reminder to go serve people with God's love.

This is a great post, very inspirational. I wish more men would realize these truths. I agree that #2 is a big issue for most men, and very sad to see them be so negative about their wives. I've realized that the enemy is out there trying to feed us lies about our spouse to tear down our marriages and we have to check the source of our thoughts toward our spouse. Keep up the good work!

@kurtmichaelson I am glad to help out Kurt. I am really glad that I found this reading plan a year before Tim Challies created the 3650 Challenge so I had time to figure out I didn't want to read Job so often.

Good to see I am not alone.

Thanks for sharing this Dave. I agree that reading Job so much is just not what I'd like to do right now in this reading plan. I've adjusted my bookmarks to the ones you've created. Thanks again.
